Congratulations to Riccar, who was the only one who entered a non-US coin last month.
(And apologies to the entry thread creator BentFork, who had some contenders but didn't put them in the nomination thread, so I overlooked them.)
A 1958 Canadian cent.
Be warned, though, y'all- there has a been a ZOT sighting on the boards recently, so if the Fabulous Finn returns as I hope, the Non-US category should heat up a little!

Too late to add a poll?
(sorry to be difficult )
<< <i>1958 was a better year than my Canadian cent. I toss in the towel. >>
haha! thanks Doc (I should've nominated you and Bentfork before the buzzer went off)
If it came to a vote, I would think Bentfork's Euro coins would win... Oh well. I really like to see things go to a vote, and will even drop something into the ring when I know it doesn't even compare with the other item. (happens many times when Zot is around)
Sorry, Gary- I only went by what was in the nomination thread. Since you were the one who put up the nomination thread, and I posted the polls without consulting you, I must apologize. Maybe you were intending to add your stuff just before putting up the polls?
I had forgotten there was such a category. It wasn't one of the original ones, back when I last did poll duty.
Sorry for the oversights.
No complaints here - Thanks for setting up the polls LM!
Congrats!
Thanks for your help with the polls, Gary, and sorry for overlooking your non-US stuff. (I'm excused for so doing on the quality awards, since you didn't nominate them, but I shouldn't have missed them on the quantity awards thread. Again, I forgot that we now have a non-US face value award!)
And thanks for doing the plaques, John. I appreciate it. (You didn't by any chance do the Quantity plaques too, did you?)
I "tweaked" Riccar's Relic plaque a little, since his original pic was kind of dark and hard to see when shrunken down.
Rob, no worries about my finds. I didn't post a thread with a picture of my Euro. An Italian 2 Euro isn't exactly what I'd consider a nominable find. Is nominatable a word? I consider that more as bulk coinage finds. The old Canadian Rick found is a better find IMHO.
Yep folks, LM is right. There has been a Zot recently sited. And he's armed and dangerous with an Explorer II!
