Just logged into Kitco and about fell over to see gold over $840. So I decided to pick up a 2007 Beefalo before they adjust the price or something. I needed to pick one up anyone to keep my buffalo "set" going. This could actually turn out to be a good deal at some point.

I did the same. I bought 2 Staurday morning.
$60 over melt and I needed 2 more coins for my 8 free submissions.
It took an hour, a honey do list and seliing some coins to convince my wife.
God only knows what I will have to do if the mint sells fractional buffs in 2008.
2006-W unaudited sales figures reported in Coin World:
1oz = 4,275
1/2oz = 3,800
1/4oz = 3,625
1/10oz = 4,775
Latest 2007-W sales figures from Numismatic News:
1oz = 3,714
1/2oz = 3,655
1/4oz = 3,577
1/10oz = 5,722
I understand much lower sales figures for the 2006-W APE have been reported in this forum but since the final confirmed mintage is still unkown, you never know. At $100 above spot with a 30 day return policy means there is little risk. With platinum at $1,528, a 1 oz Platinum Eagle would cost you $1,662.22 from Kitco for just the regular bullion coin!

I'm beginning to think I'm going to get hosed.
