2001 S Sacagawea Photo

I can't count the number of times I've shot this coin. I'm still not 100% happy with this but this will have to do.

Nice shot. It really highlights the beauty of the reverse. The obverse is too Franklin Mint for my tastes - bit it's interesting in your pic.

    Incredible Cameo!
Well done! The best shot I have seen of a 2001 proof coin I too am proud to own, John.

  • Thanks.....normally I can get a halfway decent shot in just a couple shutter clicks but this thing was killing me. I must have taken 15 or 20 photos of this thing.

Most of the problem was the slab and scratches and dust. I've found that with the right kind of flash though you can cover a lot of flaws.

I wouldn't use this photo to sell the coin as I probably Photoshopped out some dust spots but it makes a pretty presentation. It's a PCGS MS69.

Wow....I would have never guessed that you took that photo through the slab. I really like it...thanks! Sacagawea's are really beautiful coins and under appreciated IMO.

I never would have guessed that was taken through a slab either.
That looks like it could sell as a poster. Very nice.

    Great pic,

for these you almost have to shoot them raw after removing any dust.
