Sales of 2007-W silver American Eagle uncirculated coins have resumed, so the asterisk has come off the sales number, but the total did not change yet. Asterisks have not been put on the 2007 commemorative totals yet because they are still jiggling, but sales have closed.
Platinum "W" uncirculated American Eagles jumped over the 1,000 mark for the ounce, half-ounce and quarter-ounce sizes. The 10th Anniversary Set is still only half sold at 15,840.
The Madison First Spouse gold totals crept ahead. The James Madison First Day Cover sales are at 34,169. >>

any word on a grading /set designation? from NGC or ICG?

I would attribute that to the novelty factor. There is nothing special or different about the coins in the set since they are available in other sets or Mint product options. Just different packaging, to sell more IMO.

True...but the other goodies that they came up with just before X'mas are not selling anywhere near this set. I wonder when they will stop it.
