All I did was mention the word "Bath" in an auction!


I bet you didn't know that if you give a coin a bath, PCGS and NGC will bodybag it!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    You need to remember that all new collectors are told to NEVER clean a coin. Yes, using MS70 on your coin is acceptable, but some folks who are not as advanced, think that MS70 is the same as cleaning. I think you were diplomatic in your response. That person was just repeating the mantra told to all new collectors.

    cleaning coins is nuts, i dont care the reason. if its a beat up coin fine. but to then sub. it is not what i would do. this is crazy. anyone doing this is a carbon spot on our hobby. hangem high.

    I once had an auction where it showed my finger holder the rim of a coin. I received a furious email from a member stating I should always use cotton gloves because I was reducing the grade of the ocin otherwise image
