Any one have claims experience with the ANA coin insurance program??

    Least expensive premiums around. Never had to file a claim, so I can't anwer that question. BTW the CU Forum made me aware of them.

  • i need to get some insurance. is the ana a good provider? i have some big dollar coins that are for a rainy day, and i cant sleep till i gettem covered.

    Yes, and I've checked the rates vs. commercial insurance companies. Hugh Wood is a lot less expensive. It's also a lot less expensive than the insurance carrier the ANA had recommended previously before Hugh Wood got the business.

    I have a policy with Hugh Wood, as do several people I know (including on this board). I'd really be interested to hear from anyone who has ever had to file a claim, though, in terms of how easy they were to work with in the claims process, what documentation and proof of ownership you had to furnish, et cetera.

    Yes, it's Hugh Wood that the ANA has on their web site currently.

    I imagine dealing with insurance companies is all the same. Trying to prove market value on something thinly traded would be hard with ANY agency.
