New sharp edged clad really tears up silver in my experience, so I try to keep it to a minimum. I usually carry a WLH, SLQ, and sometimes a Stone Mountain with it, as well as change I get during the day, but I separate the change at the end of the day.
You have worn the eagles left shoulder down. Bravo for making a polished coin start to look original again. That is one coin that does not need a date to be holdered by PCGS. How low can it go?

I was amazed at how much I had to wear down a bust half by carrying it with my change before the hairlines from a cleaning were even affected- I guess the fields are more protected and receive much less wear while carrying a coin as a pocket piece.
BTW, I think the Peace Dollar is wearing down nicely!

Thanks for the comments everybody. The fingerprint on the reverse is fresh from handling, probably wiped off by now.
And it really is amazing how slowly silver wears. I can tell it really starts to wear when I'm mowing the grass though. Goes to show you how much less dirt and grit is in our pockets today.
I'm not sure how long I'll keep carrying it. Maybe till the date is half gone, but I'm not sure if I could bear to leave it at home now!

Over the last couple years this coin has been a long way with me. It's gone to Lake Placid, NY, Boston, MA, Saint Louis, MO, Pensacola and Tampa, FL, and Hilton Head, SC, and a lot of places in between. Shouldn't be too difficult to guess where I am!
I tried carrying a Canadian George VI dollar in my wallet for several decades. It eventually fell apart. My brother-in-law was still eager to buy it though.
