2008 W Buffalo Gold Fractionals - Per Mint Again

Coin World reports that the Mint has the Gold Buffalo Fractionals as a real possibility this year.

Same as 2007's?
Same as 2006's?

Can't pin the Mint down, let alone count on the report.

....I wonder why I even posted this....?image

Yes I would love to see 1/10th oz. Buff fractionals.

Close to the size of a nickel, and would be a hit with collectors.

Buff nickel in 24kt. gold, I'll be all over it.

    Promises, promises.....

Wouldn't the quarter-ounce be closer to the size of the Buffalo nickel?

I will simply wait for the Mint to print full color mailings using our tax dollars and then wait to receive it so I can then login to the Mint site to see that all those coins have been sold. Makes perfect sense to me. image

The story basically says that the Mint won't tell them a damn thing about 2008 Buffalos. Might happen, might not.

Im thinking the 1/4 will be closer to size of a nickel than the 1/10th.

I hope it would happen, as I agree, the nickel-sized gold Buff would be a popular seller, I believe.
  • While we are on the subject, would anyone be interested in a fractional SAE as long as the premiums werent too high? I think the current design on a 1/4 would be fantastic.

If they do would they discontinue the GAE line? Otherwise I am afraid that Fort Knox will run out of gold.image
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.

Not me. Silver's cheap enough as it is and I like the size and heft of the uno ouncers.
