Back from the wife's family's celebration. Her uncle died last year, and this year his widow (my wife's aunt) passed what was left of his collection to me.
He owned a general store in a small farm town way back in the day, and he pulled things he thought were interesting out of the till. He'd shown them to me a few years back. He was almost 90 when he passed away.
Care to guess what lies within?

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

I knew it would happen.
So tomorrow I'll get better holders for the coins and currency. I don't think I'll submit anything for slabbing, but I might use a little acetone on some of the pieces that were taped into the album.

Just a plain '38. Would've been cool, though, huh?

Love that red IHC!
If I ever get into paper currency (which seems doubtful, but you never know), that Fractional Currency could be the enticement, since colonials are probably prohibitively expensive. (I dig some of that German notgeld, too.)
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
