This was a surprise for me on Christmas, something I've been wishing to have for quite a long while.
The dies were engraved by Ron Landis of the Gallery Mint Museum about ten years ago.

look to have the mistake. I'm still confused who is entitled to the coin.
Just the 257th or all companies under the 55th along with those attached
to just the Group? The Brigade has to go get it's own coin.
I recently sold a couple pounds of the pellets to ASCB.

One could imagine a group of inexperienced minters having to bash the silver buttons scores of times, that it would be very difficult to get a perfect strike on a large number of them.
