Unexpected package on Christmas Eve

Not long I was lucky enough to participate in sending one of our soldiers a lucky silver dollar. I was very suprised today to receive a nice note from him in a package containing an Iraqi one dinar coin and this company medallion. It's certainly a good reminder to keep our service men and women in our prayers this holy season.

I had never seen anything like it. Just thought it's a neat thing to have. I'll be sharing with YN grandson later this morning. Merry Christmas to everyone.

That is a challenge coin but also is a Commanders Coin. Usually handed out by a CO as a reward for something or other and usually saved for something fairly special.

Very cool. And good on ya for sending someone a Silver Eagle. I almost always travel with one as well and have been known to give them away while traveling. Usually to a kid from another country.
