As we all know, Paypal is not set up to let you print a shipping label for a customer who pays by check or money order. And, USPS Click and Ship does not offer first class labels. Here is a way to save waiting in line at the post office to mail that first class package to a customer that did not pay by paypal:
In paypal, click on "Details" of a recent buyer.
Near the bottom of the page click on "Ship another."
Create a label for your new buyer by clicking on "Edit Address," and enter the new customer's name and mailing address.
In "email message to recipient" enter: "Dave (original customer), please disregard this notice. I used my paypal link to your recent purchase to create a shipping label for a customer who did not pay by paypal." (This message is important because paypal will automatcally send an email to the original customer telling them a shipment from you is on the way).
Complete the shipping label as you would normally do. You will not be able to print a packing slip for the new customer. Just go back to the ebay completed listing, click on "view order details" and in the top right corner of the page click on "printer version" for what serves as a good packing slip.

Also, why not just go to USPS.COM and do the mailing label, and payment, from there?
Only difference, I believe, is that delivery confirmation costs a little more.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>Nice workaround but if a seller sent me a message like that, I would think they were a cheap kook and think less of them.

You can't mail First Class from usps.com. That's the only reason I use Paypal shipping. First class is what most of my buyers pay for, anyways.
To support LordM's European Trip, click here!
Click here and enter the shipment details. You can print a shipping label to anyone.
Keeper of the VAM Catalog • Professional Coin Imaging • Prime Number Set • World Coins in Early America • British Trade Dollars • Variety Attribution
and you can enter all the info. I use it all the time for non-Paypal payments as well as non-Ebay transactions.

And, without the cheesiness to annoy past buyers.

I am a cheap kook when it comes to waiting in line at the post office. USPS website does not offer 1st class labels. Actually, I learned the trick from a buyer who sent me the same message. I didn't think of him as a cheap kookat the time, but now that you mention it I guess he is a cheap kook. Guess I'm a cheap kook as well. Works for me!

Why not use a ball point pen and write it out?
Ain't any lines at our Post Office. You do have to ring a bell and wait a minute or two for someone to come up front.
Nice little town, and we do have a stoplight. We did have a one way street for a while too.

<< <i>Use thr USPS site and print a Priority lable. Cut off "Priority". Ship First Class. Mike >>
The idea is to avoid standing in line. By generating a payPal shipping label you can just drop the package into the collection box.

How did you get that? I always use paypal multiorder shipping which takes forever to load. thanks, Jerrry
<< <i>Why not just go to the ended auction page and hit the "print shipping label" button? You can also do it from "My Ebay" if they used checkout and indicated that they would be sending a check or money order. >>
Negative, unless they pay with paypal, your paypal account does not see the transaction. The shipping label is printed from the paypal transaction link, not from the ebay link. You will get a message in paypal that says "You cannot use the Shipping feature with this transaction. To ship an item, please click the "Ship" button by the item's entry in your History log." Since a non paypal transaction does not show up in your paypal transaction log, no paypal shipping label.

I just printed one last week for a M.O. payment right from My Ebay. I don't think it works if you havn't linked your Paypal account to your Ebay account though.
