Hi again. I am not a club member to PCGS but was thinking of submitting my Platinum sets to them for investment reasons or course hoping for the big 70 grade.
When and why should you use a Authorized Dealer for this purpose. Is there any discount? Or is it just as easy to send in yourself.
I sit and think if certain graders know that they were grading Mr Weinberg's expensive coins? And would they take a extra look before they send them back to him in a slab.
On the other hand if Joe nut head sent them in, thats me by the way, would my coins get graded as fair as a known dealer coins would be. How does the grading system really Work?

You submit thru another dealer/member when you are not a member yourself or don't have enough coins to justify the cost of membership or if you want an educated opinion as to grade, etc before you waste time and money on it. Since the plats should be submitted unopened you can just have a friend who is a member submit for you. The graders have no clue who submitted or owns the coins.

I think you mean. The Graders do not know who the submitters are.
