US mail question

I recently ordered a coin from an ebay seller, and after waiting quite a while, I asked when they shipped it. They said the 3rd of this month. Yesterday I went to USPS.com and entered the registered mail tracking number and it indicated that it was attempted to be delivered the 18th. I never got a pink slip. Today, I did get a pink slip, and it was checked with final notice, article will be returned to sender, and it did not indicate that I could pick it up tommorrow. Should I assume that the post office f'ed up and now I will not be receiving my coin in time for christmas?

have you gone to the PO in person..I know it's a ZOO there today....but there is a chance you may be able to pick it up.

If you got the slip, can't you go down to the PO and pick it up?

P.O. will return the item 5 days after the final notice..Suggest you swing by the P.O. & pick it up.
