Engraved CBH (on the bay) - Way COOL!!!

No, this is not my auction or am I knowingly affiliated to the person auctioning this item.

Now, check this out: Engraved CBH on the bay

For a CBH collector, Civil War collector or just an engraved collector, this would be an awesome addition. Our own OkBustChaser has already added more info about the piece, such that it's dated 1836 and info on who this piece belonged to.

Very cool piece and just thought I'd share.

I suspect that it is authentic as this was a common passtime while in camp.

As for "that other board member" there are quite a few people on this board who have heard (and dealt) with me. I have no affiliation with the seller.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

Neat coin. Unfortunately, it's impossible to know when the engraving was done.

oh no, I wasn't defaming you. I was just disclosing that you could be QDB himself and an expert and determing that sort of thing but I haven't had dealings with you at all so I wouldn't know. Ill go with "it's not unreasonable to see stuff like that because it was commonly done"... your call how much you want to back it.
