Poll: Should PCGS slab problem coins?

Just wanted to see what the general concensus is on this issue. I personally voted answer 2...

Can't vote...no option for the fact that they already do.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.
  • No, it sullies the brand. Some people want more for their problem coins, thus a PCGS slab does that for them. But what does it do for PCGS? What's the upside for them?

Yes but under a subsidiary something like NCS for NGC. Maybe Genuine Coin Grading Service?

Also needs a serial number compatible with the set registry program.

That's one of the reasons I want it most.

Yes, but only if it is NOT a PCGS-branded label.

Hence something like I mentioned with a subsidiary like NCS for NGC. Just needs a compatible serial number and a net grade for the registry.

HRH---Are you watching the poll? So far, only 23% are against PCGS slabbing problem coins.

Maybe an increase in submission volume by AT LEAST 25%???

This has been an issue for years. PCGS even asked all of it's members their opinion earlier this year. I responded there as it is an appropriate place for comments, while this thread is not.

In the past, PCGS dealers were against this, but a large margin. Most of these people do not participate in this forum, so your numbers are skewed in regards to how the submitters actually feel.

I vote "no," mainly because I think no company should slab any coin.
