In the mid 70s the fellow I worked for got a group together to look for Confederate gold in eastern Oklahoma too. They spent 2 weeks looking for the "Buckbord Hoard". It was rumored to be several chests of gold buried by the Rebs that was stolen from a Union payroll wagon and transported to western Arkansas or eastern Indian Territory.
I know they didnt find anything on that trip but a year or so later my ex boss was doing extremly well for himself and I know it wasnt because of his auto repair garage. He moved to Bermuda a couple of years after the last trip to Oklahoma. I dont know if they found anything but it did look funny to me that they all are extremly well off now days. I didnt go because my wife and I just had our second set of twins and I needed to work. Kinda makes you wonder what they found.
