Something Quite Odd Going On Here

So is this one person selling the same coin simultaneously in two auctions? If so, why waste the money of listing fees on a second auction at the same time? Makes no sense to me...

  • definitely photoshopped photos.
  • Its the same seller. He just accidentally listed it twice, or he decided to lower the price and forgot to end the other auction?

Looks like a mistake of some sort to me.

Not unusual...you see it all the time with sellers that have an eBay store. I call it sloppy inventory controll.

Perhaps he has two half dimes of the same date and is using the same picture to illustrate both auctions. I noticed that a seller was doing that on eBay the other day with two 1835 half dimes, but both are now gone. He used the same picture to illustrate two different auctions, for half dimes of the same date.

  • Its a mistake, an error! Email the guy. He'll remove one of the auctions. Its not a waste of money (well it is), he just screwed up.

I listed the same coin twice on ONE OCCASION. Wouldn't you know it BOTH listings had bids before I could take one of them down....

Looks like someone jumped on the $185 auction. I hope all works out for the buyer. At that price the coin is a good buy for sure. The second auction is still up though. I guess if someone buys the coin through that auction the seller is going to have some issues.
