I like the overall look of both. I am not going to commit to putting a sticker on them just yet, though.
Always took candy from strangers Didn't wanna get me no trade Never want to be like papa Working for the boss every night and day --"Happy", by the Rolling Stones (1972)
These coins both look a ton better in hand. I am shooting these thru some pretty scratched up slabs.
I bought these sight unseen because the prices were really good.
Slabs read ms 62 c-1 for half cent ms 63 for large cent
W/o being blown up in the pictures I would agree with those grades, but from the pics I am not sure.
I have a 3 day return priveledge, I paid $350 for both delivered.
They are both for my 7070 Dansco.
Not sure.
By the way, I purchased these both from a very well repsected dealer, before they got imaged, but upon advice I heard here, they said call and get a description.
The images are underexposed, but the coins look nice. It would be interesting to find out what is going on at 5:00 on the reverse of the half cent and 4:00 on the obverse of the large cent.
My only complaint re the Large Cent is that red area which is attention-grabbing on the obverse. I do not like the Half Cent. The obverse is problem free, but the reverse has carbon, corrosion, and who knows what at 5:00. Pernaps it was attacked by a chupacabra.

Here is a better more true to in hand photo of the large cent. I do believe I am going to keep it. It sure seems like a nice example for $160
That stain between the 12 abd 13th stars is not bad, and I guess I can't ask for a perfect 153 yr old coin, especially for under $200
I scoured the net last night and even at $300 plus there is always some embedded dirt in the denticles, or an off color spot or stain somewhere, or a scratch or ding, so I think I am gonna keep it.
If this were silver, I would dip it in acetone to get the (organics) off, but is there anything to dip or soak it in that will do no harm?
You can acetone copper, but you might want to coat it with Care afterward. I think it's a slider, but there are sliders in 63 holders from all TPGs... And it is nice.

Pics are tough to tell anything, especially on the top one. Nice detail on both though it looks.
I need one for my 7070! that's my opinion.
I've been trying to find a nice VF+ for a while, of course your's looks to be EF, EF+ range.

<< <i>Which company slabbed these 2 coins? >>
Sorry top secret for now. No poofing here.
These coins look so good in hand, and even though my photo skillz have improved immensly these pics suck.
lemme go try again.
Kinda looks as though this half cent was in Monica Lewinsky's dress pocket when she was assisiting Mr. Clinton.
Wish I never photoed them, they do look much nicer in hand. I was happy at first glance, then these photos happened.
I think they are going back.
I took a chance on SEGS slabs. It's a shame but in hand in the slabs they look nice, get a loupe or a photo and the truth is revealed.
Bummer
