Working on Photo Presentation "Skills" What do you think?

Not one of my better photos but played around with adding a reflected image in photoshop.

Does this work, or no? And it only took me about an hour to figure out how to do this so don't worry about hurting my extremely frazzled and sensitive feelings.

On the computer I'm sending this on the reflection shows up very poorly but on my mac that I did it on it's quite visible.

John, you are indeed a perfectionist... but I do not see how you can get any better ... Cheers, RickO

That's kinda neat. My only comment is that I would like to see more reflection. Those don't reflect much of the image and if you don't know it's there it might be overlooked.

Great job! Makes mine look like I took them with a Polaroid....

  • Okay rather than post a second image I increased the opacity of the reflection layer and loaded it up again. Refresh your browser and it shoud be a little brighter.

Good? Bad? Go home and never come back?

John - great image as usual, but I'm not sure I see the PhotoShop enhancement compared to your website image.

Please expain what you did - it may be my old ViewSonic monitor's lack of high def. Very curious!

Jeesh. I just figured out how to use drop shadows, and already I've been thrown back into the dark ages. Very nice presentation.

  • IGWT,

The funny thing is I was following some on line guides and it was making me NUTS. Gradient this, reflect that. I knew all I wanted to do was create a layer, flip it, and lower the opacity (okay, I confess to doing a gradient once the image opacity was lowered).

So I closed the browser with the so called help.....Created a layer flipped it. Resized the canvas, drug it where I wanted it and cropped. Then started playing around with the opacity slider.

I think the guys who write directions just want you to know how smart they are. It's not that hard. At least not the second time.

    JapanJohn,
Excellent effect. Your copyright is a competing design element and I think it's elimination would enhance the artistic effects you are perfecting.

    Great job!

Did you make the mirror black or did it image that way?

  • fcloud,

It was imaged that way. The fields turned out black.

I've been doing the same steps to learn what about die clashes. Not artistic like yours, but helpful to me for its purpose. I gave up with the help topics too...
