<< <i>I like your 1909-D half eagle. What's the grade? Looks to be 64. >>
Ok dumb question here but I dont have any indian head gold (yet) and was wondering where the mintmark is. Is it on the reverse bottom left that the arrow points at?
Just curious.....

Mike is sending it to me for inspection, It is a strong 63 in an OGH. Mike did not think it would quite go 64 and I don't care so much about the grade as I do the look. I am not big on common dates but this one looked to good to pass up.

Thanks.
It has fast become one of my favorites. I think it's the gold equivalent of the Buffalo Nickel.
that is one fine looking common date/mint half eagle!
3 of the same coin in one post. nice.
