I knew just by looking at the first line

Not sure if he really is underrated, a lot of people truly do see him as one of the top 20 centerfielders in history. . .

All time, I would say Killebrew & Frank Robinson are both up there.
Last season, I would say Adrian Gonzalez. He hit 30HR at petco...Petco is the toughest park out there.

No question Vada is VERY underrated. His stats remind me of Steve Garvey's stat line. Different players, of course, but check the stat line.

Good player, no doubt, but not one of the most underrated of all time. I'll take Tony Oliva over him any day in that category.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Yep, it is the great Vada Pinson. Nearly 3000 hits, 500 doubles, and 300 homers. Would've been a no doubt HOF'er had he reached those marks. He retired at 37, should've hung around a few more years to get there!
