    One of our finest, Tim Buck, aka "phut", or, as we know him here, "The Mighty Phut". He's from Seabrook, NH, if I remember correctly.

    He finds an amazing array of stuff, and is usually the one to beat in the monthly Coin and Relic categories.

    Here's where he paid me a visit, early last year. Lucky dude found a 1799 Spanish half-real on one of my hard-hunted sites, too. He's good. Real good.

    pcgs69, I believe Franconia Notch is gold country. I'll have to go back to some old research to refresh my memory.

    phut, please let me know what you (re)discover. I'd be interested to hear what you can find! But I'm not in the metal detecting frame of mind with 12-20 inches on the way, ugh. We got about 4 or so at this point-- a long way to go.
