So, I bought a collection today. As usual, just a bunch of junk. After the guy left I realized one of the Morgans is a counterfeit. I just thought it was severely polished when I was whipping throught the coins. Oh, and in among the usual circulated silver certificates is a counterfeit $5!

i also agree you should contact Harrison (StopMotion) about the counterfeit stuff....a great guy and will pay fairly to get counterfeit pieces

Well, the $5 is pretty lame. Looks like it was done on a scanner and then crinkled a bunch of times to make it look worn.

I did find a couple of Buffs for my Whitman, though.

I bought smoe crap Peace dollars and one turned out to be a counterfeit. A pretty good one, too. Some may recall my posting it. I think I sold it for just about as much as I could've gotten, had it been real.
