My decent bank score

Well my mother calls me the other day from a bank she was training at saying they had some half dollars turned in, and that they would let me look through the bag to see if I wanted any since she has noticed my recent interest in half dollars. I was excited, but busy working, so I asked if she would look through them for me, which she did.

So I ended up with $8.50 face value %40, and a neat looking 1980 gold plated half! Not bad for paying face value. The gold plated 1980 half is sort of tacky, but I can't complain! Anybody know anything on these gold plated coins? It seemed lighter than a regular half, but I could be wrong.


My last trip to the bank was better when I cashed a check for $100 and recieved 10 rolls of halfs. 9 rolls contained ALL 40%, and the final roll was $11.50 in clad! I'm going back to give the tellers gifts for Christmas after that trip

No but I was searching $500 box of halves and found 7 of those gold plated doggies.
