Would you recommend Northen Nevada Coin (Brokencc)?

Ran across the website for Northern Nevada Coin and it looks like they have some great stuff at a reasonable price. Has anyone purchased from them before, and if so would you do it again?

But again as others have said here, their inventory is wonderful! I would certainly recommend looking there to be sure!

I also had a good experience with them. But does anybody know the story about the broken CC? I've always wondered about that...
they have what they say and say what they have

Even if they couldn't call and talk for an extended period, it wouldn't take them 30 seconds to acknowledge receipt of my messages or email, would it?
I guess I expect too much when I'm trying to make an $1800 purchase.
<< <i>Still waiting for a callback from these people since two phone calls to them yesterday, an email, and a phone call today. >>
You probably caught them en route to the Santa Clara show this week.

I called again yesterday. They still haven't called back.
I found out the email I sent from their website was returned as undeliverable.
This is beginning to smell rotten.

I bought a coin from them at a show late in the afternoon on a saturday and left. I asked nobody for their opinion on the coin but decided myself after examing it more at home that I had made a mistake buying it.
On monday morning I called them and told them I had changed my mind and would like to return it. They said no because their return policy would not permit it. ( they did not explain their return policy at time of purchase),
I kind of assumed that there is a policy to examine a coin for at least 3 to 5 days by most coin firms and a refund within that time is reasonable.
When I asked what they would give back on the coin they offered 20% less.
I am experienced coin buyer but not a professional. I don't know, maybe I was expecting to much, but I won't buy from them again.

Needless to say, I no longer work with this dealer. I had purchased a nice St. Gaudens, brought it home & thoroughly
inspected it. I then found a few things on the coin that had previously gone un-noticed and brought it back the very
next day. Dealer refunded 80% of my money and laughingly boasted that he would do this all day, everyday.
That was "it" for me. His cavalier attitude and Greed ended up costing him BIGTIME!
Sorry, I had not read your post prior to mine however I have been fortunate to have had only good dealings with Company,
to date.
<< <i>I have purchased at shows and they are good guys. They seem very competitive on the buy and sell prices. >>
Their sell prices seem on the strong side to me same as DLRC not at the top, but getting close. I remember one old board member had to get a little pushy to get his sell price he could live with, not sure if I remember him actually selling anything to them tho.
I bought a couple items from them and was ok with it.

Dealers are out to make money and this tends to cloud other aspects of relationships and buying/selling. It is the rare dealer who will take something back once you leave his table and let a day pass. Frankly, most won't do anything for you if you come back an hour later and want to return something. It's very possible someone could have been shopping their coin, didn't like the offers, and brought it back. Be very careful about show or auction room inspectionss where the lighting is worse than your home conditions.
Coins almost never look better once you get them home. You'll only find more flaws, not less. Probably everyone here has experienced what you have at least once in their career. The first time it happened to me at a large convention (1977) I called the dealer on Monday looking to send it back (it was a BU 1854-0 seated 25c). The best he would do was an exchange for other coins in inventory. Considering there was nothing in his inventory that was worth buying and everything was more overgraded/overpriced than this coin, I just ate it and sold it of for a 10-15% loss. Remember, these were the raw coin days of the wild 70's were most everything for retail sale was overgraded a lot. This was my first and last purchase from this seller.
Bottom line, you leave the table with the coin and you own it. What the seller decides to do for you is entirely up to them. Many MS/PF coins look very different under "house" lighting once you get home.
Factor that carefully into your risk assessments. No dealer is going to discuss their return policy at a show unless you bring it up first. The industry standard is that there is no "risk-free" return policy for sight-seen purchases. If you want more you have to ask.
As a seller, if you are a made an offer and walk away, even for 5 minutes, that offer has expired.
I've had no transactions with Broken CC other than to be privy to discussions with others. A friend of mine has done business with them and feels they are fair.
