Home Metal Detecting

Just ordered the GTI2500 Pro Package from Kellyco,

and of course we're getting a winter storm here (northern NY). I think I may not be able to use my new toy until spring!

Last year we had 50 degree plus weather until Jan 1st--I think we're going to pay for that treat this year!

Waiting is going to be painful, but I have one possible spot up my sleeve--I'll have to post the details in another thread...
Need to finish my Kennedys and Jeffersons!

Good luck with your new equipment. Cheers, RickO
  • Well...then by all means you can do air tests,,,get used to the sounds of the machine...listen to the difference in iron objects and silver, copper etc...A great time to learn the machine.
  • Great choice there Morglan. Get out with the machine as often as you can, and if you aren't able to due to bad weather, do like Millennium suggested and get those air tests done. It's a heavy machine(especially with the 12.5 coil) but with some time, you will be very good with it. Take your time and learn it well.

Let us know how it goes,

  • I have a GTI 2500 and I love it. I have picked up coins 10 inchs. deep .
  • It will certainly go deep....When I have a place I want to search, I'll clean it out of all the trash...then set for max depth and hunt it to death.
