2 barbers, 1 hole...

got out today to a site i thought was going to be real productive. i guess it sort of was. its a cow pasture that was used for picnics. early into it, i got the first barber 1904, then re checked the hole and discovered the other. wow! what a rush to get 2 clean barber quarters in the same hole. from there on it was 22 casings only. oh well i guess its time to find another spot.

I get at least 22 casings/ shotgun shells/ twisted lead every time I go out. I've set up drop points on most of my sites that I'll visit when the trash pouch starts getting full. Don't want to be digging the same piece of junk more than once.

That really is a neat find. I kinda have this 2 quarter rule where they sell pop. "If I find one I will find two because pop cost 50 cents and they pay with a dollar and then lose the 2 quarters for me to find". Obviously not the case back then. WTG

i would trade them all to be able to dig large cents and bust coins. these 2 make #'s 13 and 14 barber quarters dug. the added bonus is they are both dates i had'nt dug yet. strange about them is that neither has a "S" mintmark. almost every silver coin i've dug has a S MM.
