Found this informative page on the Brent-Krueger website.

I thought it might be worth posting since folks are always asking "how can you tell if it's PVC?".

Sorry guys, but when you see "PVC" on a coin it's not necessarily PVC itself, but instead the plasticizer that is incorporated in the PVC to give it flexibility.

    Shamika,
The feature of this link is to identify the flips that contain PVC. I'm thinking if you can get rid of any PVC coin holders you can better protect your collection.
I had a very special coin that came in a flip that I did not know contained PVC. When I looked at it a month later it was all cloudy.
I've since gotten saflips and am replacing all my other flips.

  • Has anyone seem PVC in a conventional 2x2? I get coins that have been in those things for years, and have never seen PVC. But I have seen plenty in the soft flips.
