Check Your 2007-P JOHN ADAMS Satin Finish

There is a major Die Gouge on some of the 2007-P John Adam's Satin Finish coins. It appears on the obverse of Adam's shirt collar and points towards his throat. Its easily seen with the naked eye and could become another collectible variety if enough are found. I haven't seen it published yet in Coinworld, Ken Potters site etc, but a few are appearing on ebay. Here is a image of one:

I had mine off to pcgs 1 day after the sets were realeased and was hoping they would make it a variety. My first 600 sets yeilded 21 and my second 300 yielded zip. I think it should be a variety and counted in the sets as it more significant than the other billion they are already counting as varities in my opinion.

The planchets are burnished for a satin, or matte-type finish, while coins struck for circulation receive no special treatment.

The satin finish coins are only available in U.S. Mint sets.
