<< <i>A bad thing for Yao, the Rockets and the Chinese Olympic Team. Hopefully he will recover quickly.
Does Mutumbo still wag is finger at those who dare drive into the paint and challenge him? I always got a kick out of him wagging his finger. >>
Funny you mention that. Last game against DEN, Keyan Martin dunked on Mutumbo, who was bent over and not going for the block. Martin then did the finger wave, which got a round of boos from the crowd.
After that, Martin did nothing for the rest of the game while Mutumbo went on to have 3 blocks.
But to answer your question, he will occasionally wag his finger but it's now very rare. Rather than doing it for every block, he chooses his battles wisely.

Wow, great game. If you aren't watching anything and have the pass, I suggest turning it on.

Tied for second longest winning streak in NBA history.
However, it don't mean a thing if you don't win the ring.

edited because they were tied for second longest at the time.

Truly a remarkable achievement, especially without Yao.

A remarkable feat, especially when you consider that this team was basically a .500 team before going on this tear.

To be sure, awesome. Even better considering the Rockets beat "the team to beat," e.g., the Lakers ... Gasol or no Gasol. Only thing better (well, other than the Lakers not making the playoffs), would be for Kobe not to win the MVP. Yeah, I'm a Laker hater.
Not directed towards you, Jack, because it's been the media's fault.
Whenever they discuss the streak, a disclaimer is always made of someone not playing for whatever reason. The only real star that missed our game was Nowitzki, who was out because of suspension.
Oh, by the way, the Rockets have an injury too.
Some dude, that was averaging 22/11 and a focal point of our team, is out for the year...
To put the streak into perspective, we haven't lost since Jan 27th and during that time, went from 10th to 1st in the West.

Later this week the Rockets play the Warriors. It could be a very entertaining game to watch.
The Warriors have won 8-10 games and are streaky. They play up to or down to the level of their competition. They lose to teams they should not lose to (Bobcats, Bulls, Hawks, etc.) and win games against the best teams (i.e. Celtics, Pistons). If the Warriors are shooting the ball well (especially from three point range), causing turnovers and are running, they can beat anybody. If they are not shooting well, then it is another story.
Honestly, it's the type of basketball that I actually enjoy watching. Everyone is contributing and a lot of great, yet streaky, shooters.

It was fun while it lasted and a remarkable achievement.
At least it was against an East team, so we don't lose two games in the standings.
So thankfully it's over because it really was an unnecessary distraction.
Focus on our Division and play it one game at a time.

Rockets play the W's tonite. Care to predict who will win?
If the W's play up to the level of the Rockets, if they run, create turnovers and are hitting their three point shots, the game should be very, very entertaining.

Without Yao, our game plans are really similar.
