So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Oh really?!
<< <i>Man, tough loss to the Grizzlies tonight. Tmac with 40+ but Battier was shutout. can't win em all. was this game on the road? >>
Yes, it was in Memphis and Yao had foul troubles. Battier doesn't put up much stat-wise, it's more of the intangibles, which you can't put a number on.

<< <i>Battier is a good, solid role player, but I wish they would have kept Rudy Gay. Dude oozes athleticism. Brought the hammer down on Scola last night. >>
Shane is a great role player, he reminds me a lot of Horry's role back in the day.
Funny thing about Gay. Last year, a buddy came over and we were about to head out to dinner. The draft was on, so we waited to see who the Rockets picked. Took for freaking ever and when they announced him, the announcers didn't talk too highly of him. Find out the next morning we traded him for Battier, and based upon their analysis, I was glad to get Shane. As the year progessed, I heard rumblings that Gay wasn't working out and getting on the coach's bad side. In hindsight, still glad we made the trade because of how our team is formed.
Scola has barely logged any minutes, especially any that really count, so I wouldn't put much in last night's performance. Hopefully, he will live up to the hype but I'm a Chucky Hays fan
<< <i>McGrady hurt??? >>
Local broadcast just reported he's on route to the hospital. Preliminary results, torn elbow ligement and will require Tommy John surgery.

Even Tracy joked about it. From this morning's paper:
<< <i>Tracy McGrady sat in front of his locker, wearing gray slacks, an undershirt and, on his right arm, a sling.
"It looks like my 2007-08 season is over," he said to the throng of reporters.
After everyone gasped, the Rockets star smiled.
"I'm just (kidding) you," he said.
The preliminary results of Wednesday night's MRI exam at Memorial Hermann Hospital showed a strained elbow. Dr. Tom Clanton, the Rockets' team physician, called it a "day-to-day" injury, but McGrady said he was told he could be out for a week. >>

Curses
I just thought of this...considering Carol's message, is it still okay to use this "cussing" emotion? LOL

<< <i>big win in Phoenix last night. >>
It was a huge win.
I can't remember the last time I saw Stevie with that much emotion. He wants his playing time now, dammit.

I got some catching up to do.
But you're right, if Houston didn't have a NBA franchise, I wouldn't even think about it. Even though 15+ years ago, I was a die hard fan...
