so I am really happy with the results especially the 09-s. It really makes a nice end to the work week.

follow up to picture request- More so of a question. I wrote all over the submission form requesting True view pics for all of these. I also included the cost of pictures in when calculating the total. Are the pictures shipped to you with the coins on a disk or should I of had access when I viewed my results online(i did not see any pictures or link to them in submission page results online). I am kinda wondering if pictures were even taken as I was under the impression you would get online access to them?

yippee! I did get pictures of them!!!

Excellent group of coins...now, when you get them back...how about some pic's ??

    Edited to add:

Thanks for posting the images. Nice group pf coins. I agree with the grades save one: the seated half
should have been at least an AU 50...what a nice coin.

Who in their right mind would have called that an XF 45 ?

    Thanks guys.

The 09-s bumped into me! I by no means have an indian cent eye... I needed one for type. It had been put away for quite some time by previous owner from what I am figuring.

I rarely submit for grading. Was in the mood a while back to have some stuff graded/regraded. Basically, felt like rolling the dice but vegas is so far. So I brought the s.d.box home that weekend and went thru the stuff. Guess I was in the mood for the "type" stuff and pulled some, "hmm, that looks pretty close" stuff in there and then thought I had too throw in a couple of morgans for good measure. what better choices than a couple of 03's dollars vf's.

I think I am going to have to do that again real soon as that was pretty fun image

They didn't like of one my 03-s dollars though so I will have to take a look at it before passing judgement. I dont even remember which one it was. I like that date and love to pick them up.
  • Congrats on that submission and the results.

Congratulations on the submission, it is interesting to see that of the 3 NGC coins, one upgraded, one at the same grade and one downgraded. Wonder why those who constantly bash NGC failed to mention this in their posts.

Would love to see some photos. image

I am not sure of the timelines for recieving true view pics but since I have recieved the shpping notice I am starting to think pictures were not taken at pcgs. i will take some to post.

    pci holder- ogh
ngc coins- one I thought a lock for an upgrade, another a chance at it, and the third was mainly wanting it in a pcgs holder for the set.

    thanks all.

bochiman/russ- everett coin show is next weekend. be there or be square.

Nice pix, I really like the 1839 and they were tough on it. If you do a Heritage search you will see P 45's that exhibit much more wear.

I think you were robbed. Pure and simple.

I'd buy every XF 45 that looked like that which I could get my hands on !!!

Wow. What happened to the S on the 1903 Morgan; it's barely there!
    When in doubt, don't.

Fantastic job! I love the woodgrain on the IHC.

I never would have guessed that the 03 Morgan was an S mintmerk from that photo, though.

nice scores! I would agree with the '39 half, they seems too conservative on that one

Thanks to all for nice comments.

As for the 1839, yeah I would prefer to see it in an AU holder and was a bit surprised to see it given a 45. Oh well, I like and value the coin regardless of the number assigned.

Dennis/Coxe- yep weakest 1903-s mint mark I have come across and no I did not buy it as a P mint. I am not sure why it is so weak, grease on the die???? I have a few other 03-s dollars I will have to submit, I think I am very close to a nice low to middle grade grading set of these.

The 1838 reeded edge was cool though it looks like there wa a bit of a hidden print picked up in the picture.

The 09-s, I road that result all weekend. Was very happy with the outcome.

Like I said earlier, I rarely submit. Often I earmark coins for regrade or crossing but really never get around to submitting. This has been such a successful submission and a lot of fun. Think I will likely be getting additional submissions together real soon.

Oh and watch out, those micro S vam populations might be going thru the roof in the near future-hah!
