I think it's real, but I'd weigh it
  • Check out his other coins from NCS (did not think you could list them anymore on epay) and one PCGS coin. He offers to double your money back on those coins if they are fake. image

why would you use a 20 cent piece to compare to a half dollar? I don't see how you can do that.

    Hmmm

Take a look at all the NCS, NGC & ANACS slabs that he has up for sale...why was this one not graded?

The coin in the photo appears real-BUT- Chances are you will not get the coin in the photo as the seller is from China. JMO. Bob

image Photo is of a genuine coin, that has had cleaning at the top of the obverse (looks like it was done with an eraser). But with a seller from China, your odds of getting the coin in the photo are low. JMHO

I say real, but cleaned. The seller being from China scared me at first, but he looks good enough.

Yes, eBay has special rules for sellers in China. They're allowed to write their own feedback. They aren't required to deliver coins or if they do they're allowed to deliver a different one than the one pictured. They they get positive feedback for it. --Jerry
  • Stay away.

    Something wrong with the head
Denticles are off on the obverse
"Half Dol." looks wrong on the reverse, for some reason

From China - biggest reason of all

  • Real. Also, after checking out his ebay store, feedback, completed transactions & current auctions, he appears to be legit. Most of his Draped Bust & Trade Dollars are in NCS holders as improperly cleaned or repaired. He's dealing with only NGC/NCS, ANACS & PCGS slabs. However, expect that his raw coins have the same type of problems as his NCS slabbed (and the ANACS slabbed Trade Dollars) have.

Nothing about the seller or where he is from. Coin appears to be real but cleaned to me, probably will not grade at any of the TPG's that count. About the same as any other raw coin on ebay.
