  • Don't have a true buddy in coins. Here at work we have a paper money collector and some others who collect us mint. Like talking to them any time.

Hell no; they wouldn't put up with me past that hour at Long Beach once every few months.

Kinda sorta... I've met up with coin collecting people at non-coin events before (such as a few hockey games) and also flew out to see TomB when I was doing flight training, as well as taking John Agre and his son up after I got my license.

Of course, the friends I see every day are bored to tears by coins... but they enjoy when I make some money and share the wealth image

  • No I don't but it would be nice. You computer guys are great though and have all the knowledge I can handle. I don't post that much but I do spend a lot of time on the boards reading, at least an hour every day sometimes a lot more.
  • Yup, have a friend who I knew for 5-6 years didnt know he collected and he didnt know I collected till we saw each other at a coin store. He is a lot bigger collecter than I so I am getting good deals now from him. Also having a wife who likes to look at the pretty coins really helps! I am new to the forum glad to be here.

No friends in coins. I guess that`s why at Coinfest, it was fun talking to 2 other collectors outside when we had to leave the building. Computer chat is all I have!

Just one, but he lives across the country so we only get together a couple times a year--and stay up to the wee hours discussing the latest coin happenings and making fun of the TV coin shows. But that's why this forum is GREAT! Thanks to all of you for countless hours of enjoyment and education in the past year!

No, no friends collecting, I see a few regulars at the one local coin shop on weekends and say "Hi". I don't talk about my collecting to others normally.
