In general, I would say no.

I try to use this site as a resource of knowledge (you guys know sooo much more about coins than I will ever know!) Unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of unnecessary negativity, political agendas, and mean spirited comments.

I'm pretty much not posting here anymore, and I think I'm enjoying the coin hobby more because of it.

  • I don't have a collection of coins anymore so coming here is great for
me to look at everybody's pictures and do the 'try to grade threads.'

  • Keeps me informed on the latest news and is a good place to brag (image)
  • I am very grateful for the ability to learn from others expertise. Additionally, I have no friends who collect coins, and am not able to go to shows because of geography and budget. This board has definitely increased the kick I get out of collecting. Thanks, all.

Yes. The forums are important to me.
I wish we had not lost so many great members from here the last few years.

I enjoy the forum greatly and have learned from it as many have noted. I like the "guess the grade" kind of posts as I firmly believe we become better graders and more knowledgeable by seeing as many coins as possible. We also get to see some wonderful photography of some wonderful coins - I've learned a lot and I want to thank all of you!
    Best wishea and happy collecting!

  • Most definately! I enjoy reading many of the posts... ignore the stuff about flipping modern, and avoid the pissing matches as much as possible. I have learned a lot, and it keeps me connected during the times when I am not buying anything new.

There is no question that this PCGS forum has contributed immensely to my enjoyment of life in my retirement years. I spend many hours EVERY day on this forum.

Thanks to PCGS for allowing us to have fun with numismatics.

I do, I think it is great. There is absolutely a wealth of knowledge here and I think it is a good forum to promote the hobby of coin collecting.

The forum is addictive, and I've meet some great folks with shared interest here I wouldn't locally.

The forum has also limited my spending as part of the 12 step program! image

Aside from giving me some money making ideas, the knowledge I have obtained here has kept me from making some serious mistakes, as well as improved my grading abilities... It is also nice to have some people to share victories with and get questions answered.
