I was at a Gold / Coin shop today and it was robbed

Type2Type2 Posts: 13,985 ✭✭✭✭✭
I was looking at some Lincolns and Bang glass broke and I looked over and the little bas@#@% around 22years old 5'7 toss a rock in the show case and grab a bunch of Gold and Diamond bracelets and ran out and I was right on his a$$ he nose dived in to a car that some girl was driving. They did get away but me and the owner where on him so fast that he did drop most of the items there was Gold / Diamonds all over. Looks like he took $8,000.00 worth of stuff and when the cops showed up just down from that shop there was a robbery in progress and he come back 5 min and had to go one more time. A ladys handbag was riped from her and this is in the same center, now I know it is geting tough out there. Just keep your eyes open and stay safe.

  • From my home here in Oceanside, Calif I watched this week the most horific Fire disaster I have ever in my 64 young,( no comments, please) years seen.
We could see the fire clouds fill the sky and watched the soot falling around us to cover my house and yard(going to clean the backyard today,Sun). All 4 of us stayed inside for 4 days, with the windows and doors closed, due to the harmful air quality for breathing outside, We heard of over 600,000 evacuated from thier homes and farms to live in shopping center parking lots and parks near and far. And we also learned of over 1,000 homes burned to the ground, including the house my parents lived in before they died in the past 4 yrs. We talked to friends who lived on the next street down from my parents old house, who were evactuated with thier 2 kids, to live in a motel 30 miles away. I read(yes,I can) in the local fish wrapper, of a middle aged couple who were over-come by the fires as they attempted to load the family car and flee, burned alive. Saw and heard of many acts of kindness to others. Then we heard of the looters(2 were husband and wife with young american born child in truck) caught by the police. How the F__k could one stupid human being do that to another human????
I heard yesterday on the radio our Govenor Arnold give a press conferance to warn anybody caught looting, raising prices on items or rent to victims, calling local residents on the phone soliciting money for so-called relief agencies or taking money from homeless families for re-building thier burned downed home without a state contractors license, that they would be prosacuted to the full extent of our state laws. That is if they live that long.

Earlier this year we saw two young gang-banger scum(of a south pacific island) shoot and kill a Oceanside Police officer with a rifle from a block away. Just to earn the rights to be in a gang with all thier mis-raised friends. Cause it was "FUN". A few days later my 9 yr old son and I, along with many others, stood on the street corner a few houses away, as a very very long funeral procession(cars, trucks, fire engines from near and far, followed by many different Police cars drive by us on the way to the cemetary to bury him.
I say, as they say in the Chargers locker room, "Hang the 'Mo-Fro"......

I hate hearing of these things. I hate having my children grow up hearing of these awful actions taken against other people.
We were very lucky we had no damage other than the soot. Speak to whom ever you pray to, to help these people. Hug your children close and teach them well.

I'm getting down off my soup box now and going to get a cup of coffee so I can read todays paper and learn what's going on with other good people of southern California.

As for those coin shop robbery kids(oh excuse me, suspcts) this thread started out talking about. Hang the Mo"fro's....

Many middle class in Michigan are falling into the "have not" category due to the ongoing economic depression in this state caused by
the downturn in the auto industry and the ripple effect that is having.

I'm glad I live in Oklahoma and not in a Chicago or Calf. Here we can carry a gun to protect ourselves, it's not the wild west but ensures a mutual respect and make the BG's sweet in a robbery. I have absoluty no respect for Dianne Feinstein or Al Gore, If your going to talk the talk you better walk the walk IMO. I have no problem with folks felling a certain way about a topic but when the outlaw law abiding citizens rights only to take advantage of them because they are "special" that's just wrong.

  • It's funny, when I read the Constitution it's there in black and white .........'the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed'.........yet I can't bear arms in my own store to protect myself (in Wisconsin). No matter how many times I read the Constitution, though, I can't find where it mentions the 'right to kill your unborn child because you are irresponsible'. Weird how that works.........Glad no one was hurt in the robbery.

Bush got elected pandering to rich white people, Democrats get elected for pandering to illegal aliens and poor minorities. Neither side could care less about the 'middle calss' . Contact your representatives, and demand term limits in Congress. Congress' approval rating is lower than Bush's, get the garbage out after two terms, across the board......President, Senate, House, the whole works, 2 terms and out.

    > Democrats get elected for pandering to illegal aliens and poor minorities.

I don't think the Dems pandered to illegal aliens - they don't vote. However, the Republicans seem to like them for their Cheap Labor aspect. Who exactly was it who was pushing the amnesty bill for aliens...it was President Bush.

And look at the position of Hillary - she doesn't like illegal aliens! Link

That is not the solution. It didn't work in the past. What WILL work is public financing of campaigns. Then there will be less pandering to special interests by politicians.

    > The worlds getting to be a horrible place to live in.

Lots of sociological studies have shown that crime rises in countries where wealth bifurcation increases, and that is what has been going on in America for the last 40 years.

There is a reason that rich people need their tax cuts. They need to be able to afford high walls and guards in their gated communities.

I think a lot of this is a result of the secularization of this country. The golden rule is less "do unto other as you would have them do to you" but "the man with the gold makes the rules". So many dismiss faith as a useless leftover from primitive times. When there is no higher (spiritual) authority to dictate limits to our life then there is either chaos or totalitarianism. We will be forced to choose one or the other.
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.

Illegal aliens don't vote for democrats huh. Then why all the screaming by democrats when someone is asked for ID when voting??? I guess dead people don't vote for the democrats either.

I am sure this is a drug addict thing, which is why they continued to risk capture by stealing more. Desperate junkies.

However, you are right in my book. We live in a society of appallingly fragmented values. The cure is not for everyone to jump on the jeebus-freak bus. More people need to accept personal responsibility, accountability, and social justice seriously. People get married all too often for the wrong reasons and then want a silver bullet fix instead of putting the hard work to make it all work. It's easier to declare marital bankruptcy and screw up the kids. Yeah, I know statistically half of the people reading my comments have been through it and some will take it personally. Tough. I have friends who have marriages that are more like joint ventures with some unwritten contractual DMZ they live with day after day. Even if the marriage doesn't dissolve, the attitude breeds distrust in the kids. No wonder we have so many me-me selfish individuals in our society. So we end up with a nation overloaded with overconsuming, socially and fiscally irresponsible people who want $1 for 20 cents of work and require continuous entertainment and constant approval and praise. Any deprivation of those assumed rights develops into contempt and a guilt-free assault on "the system" sometimes. How many go to dangerous levels? Dunno, but too many. Enough of my rant.
