Walker proof pictures

Looking for comments. I found this one hard to photograph. I dont know what the starry haze is in part of the fields. I have the same problem in on one other Morgan. Looks like something on the coin.

That's what I was thinking - I can't comment on how to improve the photography, but that is a nice looking walker!

That looks tons better, what was your trick?
<< <i>It looks like there are some small toning spots most noticeable above the Eagle's head and right below the beak. Otherwise all I see in the fields are typical flow lines. It is hard to find proof Walkers or Mercurys without flow lines. >>
Bingo there are a coupe tone spots. I have had this coin for about 6 years and always wonder if it could go higher but there is just enough to take away from it going higher. It is very nice though and hey, it's my only walker.
Yes, it is a very nice Walker!
If you only have one Walker it should be a proof in my opinion. Proof coins rule!
I think your photo is fantastic. Great job in showing it off.

I did it all by hand using the clone brush and took the yellow coloring out as well. I use to get that all the time when taking pics of proofs. What i do is Zoom in with the camera all the way with marco set and take the pic about 18"-20" from the coin using a single light source in a dark room. To make the fields black i cut a hole in a DVD case so just the lense of the camera can see through. This method is not high tech or anything but it takes great pics for me. I have a crappy cheap fuji camera to. It will hide the flow lines but will show milk spots if they are there. Here is a pic of one of my franklins using this method.
