WWE Heritage Topps Chrome Cards

I know wrestling is really not what one considers to be a sport (heck I don't even watch this stuff) but was out this past weekend and went to Marden's (a discount store) and saw some boxes of unopened packs from various sports all thrown together and spotted these 2007 series two packs at 99 cents each. A couple packs looked like they had been through the ringer (probably a pack feeler/searcher so I left them ones) but at the price I paid I think I did good for what they are.

So out of 6 packs I got 1 refractor (odds 1-6 packs) and 1 X-Fractor (odds 1-12 packs) and some of my old favorites (Rocky Johnson,Roddy Piper,British Bulldog,Bushwackers) from when I actually did watch this stuff.

Fun stuff and I like the Turkey Red subset and the Legends cards alot.

  • If they were retail packs then there is nothing in them to really search actually was not much in the hobby that could be searched either aside from the Auto cards.

The Retail only had magnets and a retail Turkey Red subset. I think Hobby had current stars and the Retail had Classic Stars. I prefered the Retail over Hobby in that set, but you did get HHH.

The Bushwackers (I believe they were also the Sheepherders) and Rocky would work out at gym I lifted at in Tampa.....The Rock would come in sometimes during summer while he was off from college in Miami....before he was THE ROCK
I collect Seattle Pilots autographs, 1969 Topps autographs, Signed Mickey Mantle Home Run History cards and have a JC Martin collection (he was my college Baseball coach)

Not sure if they are retail or hobby because I rarely buy anything new. Says that there is a Ringside Relic card (1-24 packs) and Super-Fractor (1-447 packs) and knowing how some people are it doesn't matter if anything good is in them because if there is an insert that they can feel they will do it just so no one else can have it.

  • They were retail, the relics were one of 3 that were in retail as well. I think one was Jeff Hardy/Umaga another was Mickie James/Lita and the other I cannot remember they sell for about 1.00 each.

That card doesn't give Rowdy Roddy Piper his props. God knows he's earned it. Who doesn't love "They Live"?

I actually own it on DVD.

Bought it at Wally World for less than $5.

Was really impressed with the quality of this DVD as the transfer is cyrstal clear and the audio is good as well. When I first saw this movie back in 1988 I really thought he did a decent job acting in it and being almost twenty years later (where has time gone) it's still an enjoyable movie for me.

that was a very cool movie lol-OBEY!!!! -playboy buddy rose of the original fabulous freebirds lives not far from me, if u think im crazy, hes nuts lol-you can hear him talk 1/2 mile away,i guess the stage persona never leaves em!we had his wrestling ring set up in my garage once to cut 1 foot off of the timbers, it was 16x16 so he could get it in his boxtruck,he still does smaller shows and stuff,i think he got dropped on his head to many times lol!when he built his garage he dug down about 3 inches and poured a sidewalk instead of a footer lol-and built on it!!instead of a normal deep regular footer, ive been waiting for it to fall over!i have no idea how it is still standing

You know, like any red-blooded American male I watched WWF when I was 11, 12, 13 years old. But isn't Topps kinda sorta scraping the bottom of the barrel when they use the DESIGNS from classic Topps BASEBALL issues for WRESTLING cards?? I mean use a LITTLE imagination. If they want to go so retro why don't they use the design from their 1985 issue? It's pretty classic.
