What modern baseball set has the most hall of fame players? (regular cards)

1983 has over 20.

Comments

  • oops! I didn't read the title very well.
  • 23 HOF'ers in the 1949 Bowman set I'm working on.

    6 of them are Rookies as well.

    Wow, I have work to do, haha!

  • My 1993 Refractors has a ton of current and future HOF-ers.

    Should easily be 20+

    let me see:

    current: ozzie smith, george brett, molitor, gwynn, boggs, ripken jr, sandberg, nolan ryan, puckett, murray, fisk, winfield,

    future: schilling, ivan rodriguez, sosa, maddux, rickey henderson, glavine, roberto alomar, mcgwire (+/- iffy), eckersley, frank thomas, bonds, clemens, griffey jr, barry larkin, biggio, randy johnson, smoltz, piazza

    iffy: bagwell, sheffield, palmeiro, dawson, lee smith, mussina,

    so

    current = 12
    future = 18
    iffy = 6

    so, the 1993 Finest/Refractor set has 30-36 current or future HOF-ers.

    not bad for a 199 card set!!!

    Anyone care to look through some other years?

    You really think Schilling a definite Hall-of-Fame selection?

    Dawson and Lee Smith have little chance

    1975 has 31 players (not counting any managers)
  • "future: schilling, ivan rodriguez, sosa, maddux, rickey henderson, glavine, roberto alomar, mcgwire (+/- iffy), eckersley, frank thomas, bonds, clemens, griffey jr, barry larkin, biggio, randy johnson, smoltz, piazza"

    You can cross off Sosa and McGwire image They arent getting in....(shh, steroids and such shhh) Schilling is borderline, but he has a very legit shot.

    I think Schilling would need to post another couple SOLID years. At this point I say he is NOT going to make the hof. I think Sosa and McGwire have a better chance. Wouldn't surprise me if Schilling was on the juice also so if that goes public then he would for sure not make it.
  • '72 Topps has roughly 38 and if you count the HOF boyhood photos, Traded, and HOF player "In Action" cards, you have close to 60.
