Got a NEW Pinpointer

Just got the NEW--> Vibra-Probe Model 570
I did a field test for a Month back in May 2007

Test of Vibra-Probe 570 # 7

Hello, I took # 7 for a field test today.
This was a side by side test with my DX-1 pinpointer.
Detector: White's DFX with BigFOOT coil.

Targetuarter in grass at a depth of one and a half inch. I dug many quarters from 0 to 2 inch.
The Vibra-Probe 570 made a hit.
The Sunray DX-1 probe did not make a hit. Note: I had the DFX at pre amp gain 2. Not the best for depth, but good for cherry picking quarters as I cross a grass field to the next tot lot.

I got over $15.00 in coins this AM. With 11 Dollars in quarters, over half came from the grass fields. So I gave the Old # 7 a workout.

I did get some cross talk with the DFX and the Vibra-Probe 570. As a test I turned off the DFX...no cross talk. Turn on the DFX...I got cross talk---moved DFX over a foot and all is well.

At one stop, I was at the back of my van getting the DFX ready to go, I hear the Vibra-Probe sound off two long pulses!! What? I looked up by the drivers seat and could see the Vibra-Probe on the floor board. It had fallen when I got out of the seat. I guess it was telling me it wanted to go hunting.

Does the 570 make hits at 2 inches?
I have a 560 and it will only hit if it comes within an inch of the target.

Hi Doc, I just went out to the front lawn and put a silver band on the grass. I then moved the "570" up till it hit on the ring. Took a tape measure and had an honest 1.5 inch: O <====I

I think it would better with a target in the ground for some time!
The "570" will keep the same sensitivity from new battery till dead.

I did the test side by side with my DX-1.
They both have a place in my tools ;-)

I really like my Vibra-probe. I use headphones so the vibrations works out great for me. The 560 only has a 1 inch range so the extra 1/2 would be nice but I'm not about to spend $120 for it....unless I win the lottery.
