Need opinion/reassurance

I just purchased a card in the thousands a couple days ago on eBay via Best Offer. Paid for it and everything.

then yesterday, I see the same seller listing the card w/ same image. Only difference is in the description, he states that he is selling the same card in another auction.

I've email the seller asking about it, but so far no response...what you guys think? How much longer should I wait?

PS...he does have 600+ feedback, i'm just worried that his account was hijacked.
PSS..I paid via PayPal

TIA

The use of the same image doesn't inspire confidence... For that amount of money (or for any amount, really) you'd certainly expect to get the exact card shown.

How' bout a link to the auction? Was it a graded card?

I was thinking the same thing.

Can you post the links to both of the auctions so we can check it out for ourselves? image

  • The seller replied. Says he will send tomorrow and I will get the card in the auction. I think it will work out.

    Here is the link:

You might try buying a psa 8 of this card, which can be had for about $5000 less, but is pretty similar to a psa 10.

Why would he buy a PSA 8 when he wants a PSA 10?

    Thank you.
  • I bought a graded 2000 CE Supreme Tom Brady RC a week ago and the day after I won his auction he had listed another auction with the same pic but the description was different. He didn't have a scan of the card it was with a camera so you couldn't see the sub-grades. Yet the description of the auction listed different sub-grades than the card I won. So I wouldn't worry too much you just have a lazy seller like I did.

    WHAT ???

To respond to your original post ...

The thing that would make me nervous is the dollar amount and the fact that the same two PSA 10 serial numbers were used...image

  • Based on the seller's postive feedback rating I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

  • hopefully you'll get the exact card you based your bid on. anything less would be unacceptable unless you felt the quality was the same.

pretty scary. I would never buy from this seller regardless of the outcome.

    Good luck.

BTW, I assume Ahmanfan meant $500, not $5000. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. image

I hope it works out OK, too. It's mind-boggling to me that the seller would put these cards up for $6K each and decide -- well, I'm not going to go the trouble of scanning BOTH cards. Yikes.

No, he meant $5,000 because he saaid it can be had for $5,000 less. Re read it and you'll understand. Since the buyer paid $5,500 for the auction, if he bought a PSA 8 for $500 that would be "$5,000 less" than what he paid for the PSA 10.
