Coin Dreams - It is a sick world.

Ok, this has got to stop.

This is like the third time I have had a coin dream! I woke up this morning thinking I needed more cash because I had a dream where I was in Vegas and was playing around when I came across this machine with halves in it. So I hit the machine and won a few bucks when I noticed all the halves were pre 1969!.

So then, being the smart guy I am, I stopped gambling and grabbed a floor person and asked if I could just buy the halves directly at face. He said yes (a dream remember) and then showed me that they had something like 8,000 halves and I reached down and everyone was either 40% or 90%. I was holding gleaming walkers in my hands and staring fish mouthed at the guy trying to figure out how I would get them all, where I would put them, blah blah blah.

Then I woke up! So of course I came down here and read the forum for a bit lol!

It is a sick world and I have to start working on my coin stash money for just such an opportunity!

I dream that I take my money out of my IRA and cost-average it into precious metals in order to preserve my buying power. No, wait - that's not a dream! Now that's the ironic thing.

My only coin dream had me looking at a beautiful 1864 2 cent piece graded MS 65 Red by PCGS for $500. Someday I will find that coin but not for that price!

No more coin dreams last night ..whew! The idea of having a deal like that drop in my lap and not having money to pull it off turned it in to a nightmare.

As a newer coin collector, I have mainly been focused on modern stuff, but I am starting to dream about the old coins! I find myself wandering into the Flowing Hair and Draped Bust area of the Red Book lately..

Your dream was not too off base. Sometimes those slot machines in the back waters have coins. My dad was at a little bar in the middle of nowhere, and asked for $40. The bartender gave him 40 peace dollars. He played 3 and left!

WOW So I am not the only one with coin dreams lol,This happened last night
mine was a good one,my fiance works in a bank(lucky for me ) she is working in another branch for the next 3 days doing inventory she told me she found cans of coins that will not fit in the rolling machine some silver some IHC etc, she can buy them at face value,except the world coins they get thrown out, but luck would have it they have ben saving them in a can.
so I will be getting some coins in the next few days at face or for free
now the dream............................
SHE took me by the hand to a part of the bank vault that nobody goes to. and there before my eyes every coin ever minted in the US all in rolls in boxes marked P or D mint and bags and bags of silver coins, and boxes and boxes of currency
ALL CAN BE BOUGHT FOR FACE VALUE!!! I have a few thousand to spend, but I only have a few hours to get want I want .Then I woke up, in a sweat lol .I just got off the phone with her and told her about my dream after she got done laughing ,she said I need a new hobby now that is a DREAM LOL

The dream I have had on at least two occassions is that I've been given a $1000 sized bag of coins by my late grandmother and they are all very choice Morgans and Walkers in rolls. The end rollers are all beautiful and the rest pristine and white....but when I try to read the dates, I can't quite make them out and I wake up....
