About to send this in with a few other coins... 1927 D VAM 2 - any guess as to how it might grade?

MS63+ (Lower end MS64 at most) just my guess tho.

Are you sure that is a VAM-2? You might check for a die rotation. I seem to recall the one I had was rotated about 20 to 30 degrees.

I think it will grade MS63. Because of the valuation step up for the date, they are pickier. But I don't know. One of the reasons I am bailing out of Peace dollars is that I can't grade them with consistency, particularly the weaker strikes. Yours has a great strike. Never know; they might 64 it. Worth that middle ground money anyway. If you don't have a lot into the coin. Might be worth resubmitting until you get a 64. I've never done that game, but this looks like one of those candidate coins. Good luck!

I'd lean more toward MS64 (maybe better) because I've seen PCGS MS62's / MS63's and they usually have more bag marks than yours.

If the image isn't hiding any hairlines and the luster is all there the coin should grade 64. I don't see the die crack across the neck and under WE typically seen on this VAM......must be a EDS coin.

You guys are good... the consensus was MS 64 and it graded MS 64 (NGC).
