<< <i>Ah.. how lovely.... are there any betting pools on when $800 will be broken?? Cheers, RickO >>
Saintguru offered to put up $10k yesterday that it will break $800 before $660. I was tempted to offer $10k of my own in case he gets all the action he wants on that bet. I think the time spent in the $720 to $730 range in the last two days has been technically very good. Of course fundamentals could always trump technicals if something happens. But fundamentally there appear to be more upward forces than downward right now. --jerry
Somebody tried to prop up the dollar the last few days and it appears that the downtrend has resumed, I think that Saintguru is not going to see much action

And in order to support a war and social programs they will need to raise interest rates back up. We are currently no better off than we were in the late 60's and 70's with a guns & butter policy, a weakening dollar, political ineptitude with a president whose approval rating is as low as it's been since the Nixon administration, a growing national debt further pressuring a weakend dollar.

The latest AP poll show Bush's approval rating at 31% and the Democrat controlled congress at 22%.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Moving quickly away from politics as I am always eager to do, does the OP realize that the chart is updating? If tomorrow gold is down his post may be humerous.

Congress needs to stand up against Bush and their ratings would soar.
We wouldn't know what to do with a Congress that stands up For or Against anything (besides illegal immigration, anyway).
