Two Kinda Cool Coin Related Things Today

Number one. Checked the change today and pulled a 1964 silver quarter out.
Number two. Spent a Jefferson dollar at a Marine Base in mainland Japan. The clerk, an active duty Marine on his night job had to show it to a full time Japanese employee who confirmed it was a real dollar. I stood back and said, "Yep, it's a real dollar".
He set it aside and told me that it was his, he was taking it home.
God, I wish these things would circulate more freely.
One comment from a guy who has been carrying them in his pocket and who lives in Japan. They are scary similar to a 500 yen coin in the dark or when you're drunk. Not that I've ever been in the dark before.
