If the guy is in the Air Force and in Korea like somneone posted then I will eat crow on this one on the delay but could have done without the rudeness. I will also e-mail the seller and tell hime I did not realize his situation.

Explain how he was rude?
You say you have experience - can you imagine how many emails a person can get?
He was direct with you - I saw no rudeness. If so? I would've been the first to agree.

That's good to hear.
Maybe in the future we'll hear something about your collecting experience - stuff you collect - some insight into the hobby, a thread which will enrich us or provide new insight on something.
You have 44 posts - most are just whining about PSA, slow shipping, or validating others who are whining about the same darn thing day in and day out.
Maybe we should change the name of this forum from Sport Cards and Memorabilia forum to:
PSA Bitchfest Forum.
People who come here day in and day out just to complain have made it easy to leave for weeks on end and perhaps will do so in the future.
I too have been collecting for over 20 yrs - and you can do a search of my ID and the threads I've put up and the people I've helped along the way.
IMO - that's what this is all about - I would sure like to see a lot more sharing and a lot lessing bitching.
One earlier posted did say that they do not take more than 36 hours to ship regardless and no seller should take longer. Sounds like a BBL candidate to me. Life happens and often takes priority over getting stuff out. So if this guy sells an item on Friday at 5PM on a holiday weekend that is around 90 hours before Tuesday morning that seller is a BAD seller? Get real.
It seems most people have forgotten the days before Ebay and Paypal when if you ordered something by mail it might be 6 to 8 weeks later when you get it. They have also forgotten the days of 8.95 Shipping and handling only to get the item in an envelope with 50 cents postage on it. Those were the days BEFORE Ebay.

I would hope that the OP changes the title, now knowing the Seller's circumstances.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I hear dat!
In fact, I wouldn't mind if CU created a new forum for ebay complaints, how to's, mailing incidents and other complaints about sellers, buyers, the weather, the rotation of the Earth on it's axis and whatever anyone wants to criticize.
Then this forum can return to the real purpose for its existence - the exchange of hobby ideas, experiences and sharing what one collects.
I got a quick reply after I just contacted the seller. He is not a bad seller, just a seller that is far away and is subject to delays because of the Air Force. I completely understand since I served also.
You are right. I did get off to a negative start here. Have became frustrated with June Special and the constant mechanical errors. I do really like PSA but how is a place with so much quality control making so many mistakes? I have a card right now that was put in the holder backwards. I guess I went on the message boards with many issues stored up inside and let then all out at once. Will find some positive things to post. Am looking to get a scanner now to share some cool cards.
mbothner it wasn't you who posted the 3 day rule but someone else. I just find it irritating that people think that sellers on ebay must have a staff of employees to send off all their auctions the day payment arrives. Alot of big sellers do just that but alot of small collectors don't and ebay to me is about 50/50 big sellers and little guys. Leia's that situation is exactly what happened on my first neg. Auction ended Thursday. he paid then. I shipped on Saturday (I work) and he got the package on Tuesday, was mad because he wanted it on Saturday to take to a card show to flip.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
My whole point was not the delay so much as to what I perceived as rudeness by the seller when I inquired. I see now that I probably jumped the gun and have since apologized to the seller. I think this is settled and we can all enjoy a Sunday of football.

Thanx immensely.
I really don't like being this aggressive - in fact the two times I got in an out and out flamer with someone; whether I was right or wrong - I felt bad afterwards.
I can sure understand your frustration - but to be honest - just about everything we do anymore is gonna have defects, delays, mistakes, typo's and just about anything else.
I've found that patience is a virtue and worthy of striving for.
And, I don't really have a gripe with what people post - that's their right and privilege - I'm not the thread policeman.
My frustration - like yours - involves something different here - Now.
The thread content is favoring ebay matters - poppage complaints - and miscellaneous grader complaints.
I would just like to see more informational threads.
In fact - since this is the way the population has grown - any thread that just enlightens may fall on deaf ears or should I say a blind eye?
I have seen many interesting threads die on the vine since it didn't involve a sports card and it's future value or current selling strength on ebay.
This board has attracted way too many ebay sellers to the point that grading and selling monopolize the board.
I will learn to live with that since it's their right.
Thanx again - tho I disagreed with your premise, at no time did it reflect how I view you (or anyone else for that matter) as a person - since that wouldn't be fair. We really don't get to know who people are here unless they're flamers!

Just go to the original post on top FIRST page.
You will see the text of your thread on top and you can edit it there and press reply.
