What do ya know, silver shot up this morning!!! same with gold

Russ, it seems your prediction was correct when you said that silver would soar way up the day after you unloaded!!!

As for the rest of us who haven't unloaded yet, maybe now is as good a time as any. I just wish I had kept the majority of my stash and hadn't sold it when silver hit $12.90. And then look at gold, up $10 already this morning and over $740 (I believe).

image any inputs from the rest of yall. I don't usually write about metals, but this just really made me need to write something.

I'm telling you people, if you want to make money in metals just do the opposite of what I do.

I think Russ has some deal going with the precious metals market.

He calls everybody and tells them he plans on dumping a truckload or two, then prices skyrocket and he gets a % of what all the other one's sell off. Yeah, that's it.

Russ...I for one, have the EXACT same luck at the precious metals market that you do. You can almost time it like Old Faithful.

Is gold going up or is it mostly the U.S. dollar going down?

I am currently making arrangements to liquidate the non-deductible portion of my old IRA in order to be prepared for the next pullback. This is not just a short-term fluctuation. $14.00 will look like chickenfeed in a few years. In the meantime, just keep giving your technical "buy signals", Russ.image

Unlike Russ, I'm to dumb to sell anything... I still have my Plats, Gold and Silver... hmmmm... I also have a credit card showing I own them image Damn it, how can I make this a win/win situation???

It's interesting watching the market though.

Silver isn't going up enough to make it worth having on a credit card, imho, depending on your rate (ie....0% or super low, maybe, but not something I would want to do).
Best bet is always having a clean credit card.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I agree 100% and would not do it otherwise...

When the Platinum coins were the hype I received an Interest free offer for the AMEX blue, I would not have purchased anything if I did not receive that card, with the possibilities of a quick flip, (I had 12 months interest free) I purchased 4 (I only intended to purchase two, but the Mint screwed up my order and I ended up with four...but hey, I'm not complaining). Well, the year came and went and I started looking at moving them at a profit, even below current market value (I offered the four coins 1100 dollars below market and the person I tried to sell them to countered with a melt value offer... They graded 3ea MS69 and 1ea MS70 at PCGS).

Well, in the same month, I received another offer... 15 months interest free... So now I wait, hopefully in the next 12 months the value will go up enough for me to make a nice profit, if not, hell... Melt price is over what I paid for them so if I got melt I would be in the plus.

    Thanks for the concern though,
