Where is my friend's PR Jefferson Gold Spouse? UPDATE

Friend and I at work ordered by phone a set of the Jefferson Gold Spouses on the 30th August.
My order went in at 1:22pm EST and I recieved both my coins this past Monday 24th.
Her order was after mine...went in at 1:57pm EST.....her order showed both coins as in progress and projected shipping of 24 Sept.
Her UNC shipped on the 19th which she received....
her Proof still shows 1 unit backordered, projected shipping date of 24 Sept.
She does not have pc access so I check her order each day....no update...
Today (27th) she called the US MINT from work and they told her that her Proof order was still "open" and it may ship "next week"....although the website still shows shipment on the 24th.
Has anyone with an order number higher than (placed after) 2630XXXX received their Proof coin?
Thanks....was hoping to give her some info tomorrow supplied by someone here that may have gotten theirs that had a later order .

When I told her this today at work she called the MINT...she requested to speak to a supervisor....my friend was told that unlike the UNC (which my friend ordered at the same time as the proof, 1:57pm EST...and have received)...the PROOF sold out in just under ONE HOUR......
She continued to tell my friend that most who ahve a Proof on backorder will "most likely" not received one...however...the US MINT is still holding many Proof orders on HOLD while checking CC numbers and multiple orders.
My Friend was told that the US MINT has found a "large" amount of attempted efforts to get around the household limit....and that the MINT was still actively checking this out and cancelling orders...which will allow more people whose PROOF is on hold and backordered to get one..but in the order which their order was received....so my friend will keep her pretty little fingers crossed...
Just thought some of you that may have a Jefferson Proof on hold/backorder would like this update...

10/4/07 GOOD NEWS UPDATE>>>
After being told (see above update) by the MINT on the phone that my friend's Jeff Spouse Proof coin will likely be cancelled...her order this morning was changed to IN STOCK and RESERVED...so it looks like she may get it after all...she will be thrilled!

Well...since others are in the same boat...looks like you all and my friend may be in the second (last) batch to be shipped...lets keep our fingers crossed!!!

Well....as I stated...I got my set....but my friend was not a coin collector..this was her very first ever US Mint order...I had showed her photos of the coins....told her about the history of the classic Liberty style and it piqued her interest.....and she wanted a set for their beauty....a set to hold...not to flip
It is a shame..that a possible new coin collector will miss out....when there was one poster that bragged about getting 180 orders in.....of course I doubt he'll get all of his too.

yeah.....seems like the Mint updated the order status last week...many times daily...this weeks updates are slow....or never.....
had a PM tonight from a CU member that also received his set yesterday (fedex)...and his order status shows still in process.....projected ship date Sept 24......he said no FEDEX tracking was supplied on the site like normal when the page goes to YOUR ORDER HAS SHIPPED

This is so much BS from the Mint. I have received the proof from a order that was place at 1:45 EST which is 45 minutes past the supposed sellout time.

This good to hear for my friend..better chance for her to get one.
I too thought the 1 hour sellout was some BS as I ordered both, an UNC and PR at 1:22 and got mine sitting right here in the safe.
I hope my friend gets hers...she loved the UNC and is eagerly awaiting the Proof...her first purchase from the mint.....I had talked her into perhaps collecting the 4 coin Liberty subset....so I do hope she gets her Proof.
She has no pc access so I check her order online daily..and report back in the morning!

I've been doing that for her...but Fed-ex is still just showing the UNC that was shipped on the 19th to her, that she received on the 21st.
Since the MINT uses the same order number for orders that were split shipped...not sure how the Fed-ex site will handle any updates...but so far...nothing...
Her Proof is still showing IN STOCK AND RESERVED as of 10 minutes ago.

I think you are correct.....have not seen hide nor hair of several of the braggards that stated they got 100+ orders in by various means.
I know the phone reps at the MINT speak a lot of BS at times....but the ones I have talked to seem very knowledgable...and all spoke of the large amount of US MINT cancellation of orders found to violate the 1 coin per type household limit.
Don't mean to continue to beat a dead horse...I just hope my friend gets hers...she will be thrilled.
Good luck to any others out there whose orders are "sitting on the fence".
