No buzz on 2007 Silver proof sets??

I haven't seen any threads regarding those. They are significantly different from the 99-06 sets since they have the Presidential proofs. Given that the 99's are similar in that regard (first year state quarters) and are highly valued, does anyone think this will be a sleeper?

Likely to be just another ultra-modern dud.

Got mine by subscription and they don't fit in the tidy little mint boxes they sell for them so that suks, the presies are a big ho-hum, they cost an arm and a leg for the set, AND THEY DON'T FIT IN THE TIDY LITTLE MINT BOXES. Other than that, you have to have them to be able to make a set of sil state proofs so what's a guy to do? I'm not going to get suked into these continuing sets again. Maybe the halves will turn out to be something...?

    Coin ON!

Nah. It's a nice set though, despite the inclusion of the Prez proofs.

Everything in the silver proof sets has already been offered by the mint this year as individual items except the silver dime and kennedy. I agree its nothing special but bought three anyway. The 99's were more unique and you could only get the silver state quarters in that set. They did not offer the silver quarters in 99 as a separate item like the 2007's.
  • I wish the prez. bucks were in silver that would be sweet. And first hags.
  • Both sets I ordered were spotted, so I sent them back for credit. I may order again later, but for now, I'm not happy with the mint's QC.

If the presi's where in silver, or even 90% silver, they would be something to hoard. But since they are just the standard proof strike who cares! I think they blew a great oportunity with that one image

They are B-O-R-I-N-G! That having been said, I did get my usual one for me and one for gift!

Ordered 5, but returned 4 sets. Looked like they were encapsulated in a dust storm...

Yes, I had written that in another post, and that is the packaging is very poor. The prezzies in particular are mostly discolored and spotty and many others have reported damage. I saw many at the US mint kiosk that were problematic - this is where I got mine and when I rejected a couple of the prezzie packs the service person promptly put the rejects back in packaging with other sets....
